New RoHS requirements in Oman

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in the Sultanate of Oman will introduce new requirements to restrict the use of hazardous substances.

From 30 June 2020, all radio and telecommunications terminal equipment subject to a type approval procedure by the TRA must therefore prove its conformity with the RoHS requirements based on the European RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, last amended by the EU Directive 2017/2102.
