NEW REGULATION PUBLISHED THAT LAYS DOWN ECODESIGN REQUIREMENTS FOR EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLIES

Regulation (EU) 2019/1782 shall apply from 01.04.2020

On 25.10.2019, Regulation (EU) 2019/1782 of the Commission from 01.10.2019 laying down ecodesign requirements for external power supplies pursuant to Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council was published in the Official Journal of the EU. Regulation (EC) No. 278/2009 is thereby repealed

Regulation (EU) 2019/1782 includes an amendment to the limits for no-load conditions and efficiency with the introduction of an additional load of 10%, as well as changes to the requirements for information given on nameplates, in operating instructions, in technical documentation and on the internet.

The regulation shall apply from 01.04.2020.
